But is that a "final" offer from espn?


May it not be more of an opening low ball bid? We'll have to see if in a few months or even less, if Pac-12 makes a counter offer? And I would expect any Pac-12 to also be way over valued.

Then espn would reject that, and in due course counter with a new offer, with some more money involved?

Ultimately of course, the Pac-12 may believe the conference is of much, much greater value than espn believes it is and will continue to say no unless espn offers more money than espn did for ACC.

And also ultimately, espn may decide Pac-12 doesn't have a lot of value, that espn doesn't really need the Pac-12 properties, but is willing to pick them up for the "right price". espn will have decided the Pac-12 properties, to espn of course, are not close to being worth ACC money, but may be worth closer to AAC money.
